We have the most beautiful magnolia on the block, don't you think?
The hot weather on Friday and the heavy rains of the past few days have taken most of the petals down now, so I'm glad I have photos.
I love this kind of magnolia because it can stand the Iowa winters, yet it looks so lush and southern. The tree itself is beautiful, too, so even when the flowers are gone, it looks nice. Ours has particularly nicely-shaped branches.
