Jane: Useless things to do with Yarn

I love to Do Things With Yarn: crochet and knit. Sometimes I make useful things, like hats, scarves, or shawls.

Sometimes, like this week, I decide to make something useless . . . and fun. Like this crochet Totoro.
I got the idea from a book I found at the library, Mr. Funky's Super Wonderful Crochet by Narumi Ogawa. The book is filled with amigurumi patterns: for crocheting dolls and little animals. They're Japanese, so they look like Hello Kitty and various cutesy anime.
I altered the Hamster pattern to make this Totoro. We love Totoro in our house.

I might make the Hello Kitty one next.
